Our Staff

Pastor John Groth was led by the Lord with the help of several others believers to organize and found Eastside Bible Church in November 1993. Pastor Groth was saved at age 11. He has been preaching since 1977.

Pastor Groth loves the Lord and cherishes the opportunity to be of service for the Lord's work. He has a heart to reach lost Lutherans, Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc., since he was raised in a mainline denominational church. He preaches and sings when available for other likeminded churches.

Eastside Opportunities for Service:
Sunday School - 9:15 a.m.
Sunday Morning Service - 10:30 a.m.
Sunday Choir Rehearsal - 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Sunday Evening Service - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday Bible Clubs - 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Wednesday Evening Service - 7:00 p.m.

Directions: From I-40 take the U.S. Hwy 16 exit no. 130, then go south 3 miles on Hwy 16 through Conover into Newton. At the BP Market Basket turn left onto E. 11th Street, go 1/2 mile, you can't miss our sign on the right.
